Baby Steps Photography | Business Awards!

There never seems to be a dull moment here at the Baby Steps headquarters and today is no exception. In fact we're very excited to have some big news to share... we have been named as a Finalist in the 2011 Parramatta Local Business Awards - Professional Services category! We are so excited, and so proud of this achievement, especially given that a large focus of the award criteria centres around customer service, an area that we are 100% committed to.

The big announcement will be made at the end of August, but to be honest, we feel as though we've already won! Thank you so much to all of our wonderful clients who took the time to vote for us and all of our supporting family and friends!

Having friends bring their little ones into the studio always makes for an extra special shoot, so when Chrissy came by today with 6 month old Isaac it was a real treat. And just look at him, what a cutie in his little hat, couldn't you just eat him up??!!!

For us there is just nothing better than doing a maternity shoot and then the parents bringing their new little bundle of joy back in to meet us for a newborn shoot.

Here was Rajivi a few short weeks ago and now she's got a gorgeous little bundle of pink!

Rajivi and Andrew are two of the nicest people we have ever had the pleasure of having in the studio and seeing them with their sweet Amali was just a delight - an absolutely beautiful little family.

Another bundle of pink to photograph today - introducing sweet Amanda! Amanda was far too interested in checking out the brand new world around her to want to do anything as dull as sleep(!), but luckily she gave in in the end so that we could capture some gorgeous shots of this adorable little lady!

PS. Doesn't she look cosy all rugged up in our little crate!!!

Aaah, another day another cutie! Meet Isabella, one very cute 14 month old!

Isabella was such a doll. She just LOVES music - it was so adorable seeing her reaction to our chorus of nursery rhymes, she was smiling and bouncing around, and even singing along in her own special language. As you can see from these first shots, she gets right into it! All babies tend to respond to music, but this little girl was something special!

After a big run of toddlers over the past couple of weeks, how lovely it was to have a precious newborn visit us at the studio. And how precious she was - so teeny tiny.

Little Isla might have given us a run for our money in the sleeping stakes, but we won out in the end... she needed that all important sleep to help her grow big and strong!

Extra special congratulations to you both, Kristy and Dave (and the cats!!!) on your gorgeous new arrival. Isla is just heavenly!

PS. Oh, but don't be deceived by her petite size everyone, this little girl can eat. She was hungry hungry hungry!!!!

Gorgeous Everett was one of those cuties who was all smiles from the get-go... no warming up needed for this delightful little guy!!

Without a doubt Everett's favourite game was Peek-a-boo - that was all that was needed to capture these gorgeous grins.

There is something so special about maternity shoots. Being invited to share the last precious stages of a couple's journey is so personal and such an honour. And when the couple are as lovely as Rajivi and Andrew, who we met yesterday, wow, what a privlege! We had such a wonderful time with you guys, and wish you so much happiness for the arrival of your little one.

10 month old Rachel was the sweetie we had the pleasure to meet today, and she was just the cutest little poppet. So tiny and adorable! She was a serious little thing for part of her session, not to mention having a cold poor thing, but despite that she still managed to give us some adorable smiles and cutie grins! Mind you, we also love some of her serious expressions - so pensive and thoughtful!

One of the things we love about our job is seeing all the gorgeous outfits and accessories that our little models are dressed in by Mummy and Daddy. Yesterday's shoot was such a treat in the wardrobe department! Cutie pie Georgia came to visit and we just loved seeing all her beautiful hand knitted outfits and blankets, made with love by her made by her Grandmother and Great Gramdmother. She just looked like a little doll, absolutely adorable, not mention that she was all rugged up and cosy on a chilly Winter day!
