Meet little Millie, an adorable 1 week old bundle of pink! Millie is the youngest of four and the only girl so we had a ball surrounding her in all things girly! We had many new props to try out on Milie today and she was the perfect little model for each and every piece.
We are always excited to do our blog posts, as each and every baby we meet is so special. But without a doubt this post is extra extra special... because it is to announce the arrival of the newest member of the Baby Steps family! That's right, we're thrilled to share the news that Kate gave birth to a gorgeous little man, Hamish Graeme Facey on 23 August this year. 50cm and 3.9kg of perfection!
Hamish has slotted right in to the family with very little fuss, he's such a calm little fellow - we couldn't ask for anything more! Allegra is relishing her role as big sister, and dotes on her "little honey" at every opportunity - it absolutely melts your heart to see them together.
Thank you to all our friends and clients who have sent such lovely warm wishes to help us celebrate Hamish's arrival - we are just over the moon with our little man, and completely in love with him already!

There never seems to be a dull moment here at the Baby Steps headquarters and today is no exception. In fact we're very excited to have some big news to share... we have been named as a Finalist in the 2011 Parramatta Local Business Awards - Professional Services category! We are so excited, and so proud of this achievement, especially given that a large focus of the award criteria centres around customer service, an area that we are 100% committed to.
The big announcement will be made at the end of August, but to be honest, we feel as though we've already won! Thank you so much to all of our wonderful clients who took the time to vote for us and all of our supporting family and friends!

For us there is just nothing better than doing a maternity shoot and then the parents bringing their new little bundle of joy back in to meet us for a newborn shoot.
Here was Rajivi a few short weeks ago and now she's got a gorgeous little bundle of pink!
Rajivi and Andrew are two of the nicest people we have ever had the pleasure of having in the studio and seeing them with their sweet Amali was just a delight - an absolutely beautiful little family.
Another bundle of pink to photograph today - introducing sweet Amanda! Amanda was far too interested in checking out the brand new world around her to want to do anything as dull as sleep(!), but luckily she gave in in the end so that we could capture some gorgeous shots of this adorable little lady!
PS. Doesn't she look cosy all rugged up in our little crate!!!
After a big run of toddlers over the past couple of weeks, how lovely it was to have a precious newborn visit us at the studio. And how precious she was - so teeny tiny.
Little Isla might have given us a run for our money in the sleeping stakes, but we won out in the end... she needed that all important sleep to help her grow big and strong!
Extra special congratulations to you both, Kristy and Dave (and the cats!!!) on your gorgeous new arrival. Isla is just heavenly!
PS. Oh, but don't be deceived by her petite size everyone, this little girl can eat. She was hungry hungry hungry!!!!
Every shoot we do is special to us, just like every little baby is special, but today was extra extra special (!), as today, Amanda's brand new niece paid us a visit! Isn't she perfect? Meet beautiful little Joséphine - a tiny piece of heaven!
Could he possibly be any sweeter??? Meet little Justice, a tiny bundle of perfection! Justice came into the studio for his newborn session this morning and he was absolutely the perfect little model. In fact, we didn't hear a peep out of him right until his final shot - he made it so easy for us! Congratulations Karen and Nathan - your little boy is just divine, and we are so grateful for the opportunity to capture him for you.
Wow, how time flies! It seems like only yesterday that Leona and Martin bought their brand new baby, Charlie in for a newborn shoot, and now here he is a big brother! And what a gorgeous big brother he is - we have never seen anyone so gentle and loving with their little sibling. Charlie was full of kisses for baby Toby, it was just adorable! As for Toby himself, what a perfect little creature - no wonder you are all so blissfully happy. Congratulations on becoming a family of 4!
We know we say this ALL the time (!!!!) but we had a very special visitor in to meet us this week - meet little Tyler. Tyler is the newest arrival for Kate's dear friends, Kelly and Sean... and it feels like we have been waiting FOREVER to meet him! 7 days of gorgeousness and the perfect little model... a nice big feed and he slept through his entire session! What more could we ask for?!?! Enjoy your sneak peek Kell and Sean, and we are so so happy to meet the newsest little member of the family!
Ok, let's talk eyelashes for a moment! We met little Stephanie today, and she has eyelashes to die for!
At 3 weeks, Stephanie is just that little bit older than the newborns we usually shoot, so we were thinking her shoot could be a bit of a challenge, but boy were we wrong! After a quick rock from Mummy, she was out like a light, and the perfect litte model.. leaving us plenty of time for us to ooh and aaah over her amazing eye lashes!
We spent the morning with lovely little Paul today, and his equally lovely Mama, Sarah. Sarah is completely captivated by her precious new little man, and it was just a joy to watch her with him. We can't believe she has only been doing this for a week, she's an absolute natural.
Attention newborns... you all need to be as well behaved as gorgeous little Ashley! We're not kidding babes, a new standard has been set! Mum, Linda, bought 7 day old Ashley in this morning with a nice full belly, and that was all it took... she was out like a light for our entire shoot! So petite and tiny and delicate, and SLEEPY! This shoot was an absolute breeze, and an absolute pleasure! Ashley, you are just heavenly!
PS. Don't you just love our little Christmas angel! We couldn't resist!
Today's shoot was just beautiful. Ok OBVIOUSLY little Joshua is beautiful, but the best part of the shoot was not staring down at this tiny sleeping beauty, his perfect nose, his little fingers... it was watching the way his Mummy looked at him. I kept finding myself looking at Kristy as she looked at her sleeping 'bubba' (as big brother Lachlan calls him!). It was just pure adoration, and it was absolutely beautiful to see. Congratulations Glenn and Kristy.
Meet beautiful little Rielle, all of 7 days old, and just gorgeous gorgeous gorgeous! Rielle is such a sweet little thing, the perfect newborn model... she even gave us a little smile!
"Jingle Bells Jingle Bells"... can't you just FEEL excitement in the air... we're getting closer to the silly season!! We are big big BIG Christmas lovers over here at Baby Steps, so obviously we had to plan something big big BIG for Christmas! Drum roll please... announcing our gorgeous Christmas mini sessions!
We will be holding two very special session days where you choose one of our gorgeous settings for your shoot: "Winter Wonderland", "Santa's Special Delivery" or "Peek-a-boo Christmas"! We will create unique and magical holiday memories, all for a special package price. It's a Peek-a-Boo Christmas!
It was definitely a case of two being twice as nice when Evie and Nate came to visit yesterday - talk about so sweet! Evie is the most patient little girl (yes a patient toddler!) and was just so lovely with her new baby brother, so gentle. Nate is just adorable and was the perfect model - he slept all the way through his shoot!
PS. We also just had to mention Evie's special bracelet. Evie lived overseas for 6 months and she has a special charm bracelet showing each of the places she has already visited. Such a lovely keepsake for when she is older, and she loved showing us each of the places she has been! So cute!
